During this Easter break, some friends and I decided to climb Australia's highest mountain, Mount Kosciouszko. Mount Kosciuszko is located on the Main Range of Snowy Mountains oin Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. The mountain has the height of 2,228 metres (7,310 ft) above sea level, which makes it Australia's highest mountain.
We started our journey from Sydney to a small little town called Jindabyne, where we stayed overnight before heading off to the peak of the mountain. The total journey took us 6 hours to drive there, imagine how exhausting that can be!
Day 2, we started off early in the morning as we do not want to reach our camp site late. We began to track from Charlotte Pass at 10am, which is the starting point of the hike. There are several hiking trails which leads to the summit point, depending on preference and fitness of individuals. We chose the Main Range Track for our hike as this trail has more scenic views. There were also scenic lookout spots for us to rest and have a picnic. Some of them include: Snowy river crossing, Blue lake and Carruther's peak.

We finally reached our camping site at Seaman's Hut and started to set up the tent before sunsets. It was approximately 5pm and we enjoyed the sunset view with some food and drinks.

Day 3, we started our hike at 7am to the summit point, which takes approximately an hour hike from our campsite. The hike up the summit point was fairly easy and we managed to rest and enjoy the beautiful scenic view from the mountain top. We were all exhausted but after seeing the view, it was all worth it. We hiked a total of 25km, which includes 3 days 2 nights of camping for this amazing adventure.
